“Always be PREPARED to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” (1 Peter 3:15)

I believe our testimonies are one of the main ways God has chosen to shine His Light into the darkness of this world. And one useful way to be prepared is to take time to write out a 2 – 4 minute version of our testimony (the wonderful way God led you out of darkness) and to practice sharing it.  You might even take an evening at your home group to practice sharing your testimonies with each other, so that you won’t feel so awkward when you share with unbelievers. Just a thought.

When John, Peter, Paul and others continuously called people up higher in their epistles, they were assuming that the people reading their letters were baptized in the Holy Spirit. The New Testament reality cannot be truly lived victoriously without it.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

The cool thing about TODAY is that we don’t have to be clever
or make anything happen in order for our lives
to significantly impact the world around us.
All we have to do is listen to the Holy Spirit and be available.

GO FOR IT!!!!!!!

Here’s a short, fun video I made
that is filled with great images,
quotes and scriptures about
the Great Commission.

Just kidding.  (Made you look.)  Hey, now that I have your attention:  When was the last time you shared the Gospel with someone?

He [Jesus] said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)

“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord ,’ and do not do what I say?” (Luke 6:46)

DOH!
