It will never be easier for you to take risks for God and his Kingdom than RIGHT NOW.

This is ESPECIALLY true for single 20-somethings. You may think that later, somehow, things in your life will be more conducive to serving and adventuring with God.  But the longer you live, the more likely it is that you will invest your heart in the things of this world.  And as you do this, you will feel like you have more and more to lose by running after Jesus.  It will seem like you have fewer and fewer options. You will NEVER have fewer hindrances (in the natural) to adventuring with the Holy Spirit than RIGHT NOW!!!

SO GO FOR IT! When you look back from Eternity, you will be INFINITELY more happy with this choice!

“The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful.” (Matthew 13:22-23)

Don’t trade your calling from God for ANYTHING!

Don’t allow the vision He has given you to be hijacked by the busy-ness and trivia of the world and the path of least resistance!

Return to your First Love — and to the adventure of Love He has called you to!

Don’t let the Flame go out!  Rage, rage, against the dying of the Light!

He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.  He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah.  And He is anything but tame.  We cannot “manage” Him.  We cannot dazzle Him with our “brilliance” and we cannot baffle Him with our BS.  It is either His way or the highway.

And this AWESOME (the word “awesome” should really not be used to describe anything else but Him) Lion loves you with a burning, undying, all-consuming passion that cannot be quenched — and cannot be controlled.  The only possible, sane option (as far as eternity and reality are concerned), is to give in to this Fire and let Him have His way with you.  It may hurt at times.  It may burn up some things that you have held precious.  But it will inject true, glorious, eternal joy and adventure and purpose and fascination into your life…to the degree that it will seem as if you never really were alive before you met Him.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” (Hebrews 12:28-29)

THE ULTIMATE CLOUD TECHNOLOGY!!  Our spiritual family in heaven is watching and cheering us on!!!

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a CLOUD OF WITNESSES, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1-2)

digging for treasure - LOON WATCHMAN BLOG

“The kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field.” (Matthew 13:44)
Want the good stuff? You gotta spend time digging. Casual seekers find very little.

So many distractions.  Can’t let “stuff” divert us from our inheritance and adventure in God.  Divine focus!  So important.  Sometimes you just gotta make the hard choices and say “NO” to electronica, entertainment, busy-ness, etc.  NO GUTS, NO GLORY!!!

When I am tempted to sin, I just remember Him bleeding for me on the Cross…
and that temptation is washed away in a River of gratefulness and love.
We must never forget what He did.
Or why He did it.

Here’s a short vid I made about true intimacy…

“Ah!  I hear Him!  My Beloved!  Look!  Here He comes, leaping across the mountains, bounding over the hills.  My Lover is like a gazelle or a young stag.  Look!  There He stands behind our wall, gazing through the windows, peering through the lattice. My lover spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come with Me.” (Song of Songs 2:8-10)

Sometimes the reason our lives are so wearisome or sad or anxiety-ridden is that we have not heeded the call to go off with Him alone for a day or two and reconnect with the only One who truly loves us — and the only One who is able to truly refresh and encourage and heal us…

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;  you were bought with a Price.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

When we first began this journey of faith, who knew how all-consuming this God of holy Fire and Glory and Love would really be?  But every day, it becomes more and more clear to me — He wants it all.
