Son of Hamas…

This is the testimony of the son of one of the founders of Hamas.  He speaks about love, forgiveness and finding Jesus Christ.

HOLINESS > ART

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2)

Style means very little. Content means everything. Such a need for discernment! So many dark things are being delivered into Christians’ lives via the trojan horse of culture.  I have lived my life as an artist, in the world of art.  And some of it is actually of the Holy Spirit and is redemptive.  But…HOLINESS > ART

“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.” (Colossians 2:8)

There is no hope without prayer.

“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they CANNOT see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
(2 Corinthians 4:4)

This, my dear friends, is why we MUST PRAY. This is ultimately, and has always been, a SPIRITUAL BATTLE — and it can only be won in the Spirit. We can craft messages and art and be nice and work for justice and do many other good things and still accomplish very little, because only Holy Spirit can open the minds of the lost so that they have a chance to actually respond to our message.

“Finally, brothers, PRAY for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.” (2 Thessalonians 3:1)

The War On True Intimacy

“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”  This is a profound mystery — but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.” (Ephesians 5:31-33)

As we get closer and closer to the Wedding of the Lamb, romantic intimacy and sexual purity are things that will be more and more contested by the enemy, because human intimacy is meant to be a powerful, beautiful metaphor that points to the true, eternal intimacy of the Spirit.  And God has shown me that one of the enemy’s greatest end time strategies is to pervert this metaphor, so that the world will not have it as a beacon pointing to the Wedding.

And that is why, more than ever, we must seek lasting healing and deliverance and breakthrough concerning sexual sins — because Jesus desires in these last days, to reveal the beauty and glory of His Bride as a bright, pure light of hope for all those still in bondage, and to usher in the Last Great Revival as a glorious preparation for the Wedding of the Lamb.

Do you shine?

“You are the light of the world.  A city on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
(Matthew 5:14-16)

Does your life shine in such a way that people know that you belong to Jesus?
Are you sharing your faith in such a way that people are coming to know Jesus?
The only thing of any value we can take with us into Eternity are the souls of people.
From the perspective of Eternity, nothing else matters.

Passion and Discipline

Godly passion and Spirit-led discipline make beautiful music together!  It is like point and counterpoint in a glorious symphony.  There are days that emotions betray us, and on those days, the infrastructure of wise, faithful, biblical discipline helps carry us through many valleys.  Spiritual disciplines include regular prayer times and bible study, and times of fasting, solitude, silence (not speaking) and quiet (no noise or electronic distractions).

FIGHT!

“The weapons we FIGHT with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we TAKE CAPTIVE every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:4-6)

Dude, we cannot let the path of least resistance hijack our minds and souls.  We cannot be passive in our minds as our thoughts wander from distraction to distraction and stray thought to stray thought and random image to random image. VICTORY IN OUR MINDS AND LIVES WILL NOT JUST SORT OF HAPPEN BY DEFAULT WHILE WE SIT BACK AND WATCH!

Gotta fight.  Gotta resist.  Gotta regularly (throughout our day) re-connect with God and His Spirit and His Word, and our true, eternal mission.  Or pay the consequences.

“A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we DO NOT GIVE UP.” (Galatians 6:7-9)
