A tangled mess of political linguine…

Is your first reaction (to what’s been taking place in Washington DC) to complain?  Or maybe you’ve just tried to ignore it?  I know — I am tempted at times to do the same things — because it often seems that it is an impossible, tangled mess of political and moral linguine.

But maybe one of the reasons it is so bad is that many of us thought that we had done our complete patriotic duty by merely voting. (DOH!)  Maybe we should have been more “spiritually hands-on” by regularly interceding for our leaders…

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” (1 Timothy 2:1-3)

Faith = Action = Prayer = “Money talks and BS walks.” = Just sayin’

Put your dreams to work!

I had a simple but profound dream years ago.  All I saw was an airborne seed floating in the wind.  When I woke up, the Holy Spirit told me that He was going to give me dreams that revealed things in seed form — things He wanted to accomplish — and other things that the enemy wanted to accomplish.  And He said that if I would pray for His “seeds” to be planted, then those specific good, Godly things would happen — and if I didn’t, then they might not.  And He said that if I would pray against the enemy’s “seeds”, then those demonic plans would not succeed.Since that time, He has led me on some amazing revelatory intercession experiences.And also, since I had that dream, I have heard from some major prophetic guys who said that one of the main purposes of revelation is intercession.

So…don’t be so fast to dismiss or disregard your dreams.  You might want to keep a dream journal of the dreams you think might be from God — and occasionally pray through them.  Who knows — He could be calling you to be a warrior and world-changer via prophetic intercession.

If…

Please don’t look to politicians for answers.  They were not responsible for the blessings in this nation.  And they are certainly not anymore responsible for its problems or darkness than anyone else.  Washington DC is just a microcosm of America. (Gosh darn it, who elected them scumbags anyway?!)

The blessings that this nation has experienced are from outpourings of Grace — outpourings that have periodically happened throughout the history of our nation.  And they can happen again…or not.

“…if My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

…if…

He is not a tame lion…

He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.  He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah.  And He is anything but tame.  You cannot “manage” Him.  You cannot dazzle Him with your “brilliance” and you cannot baffle Him with your BS.  It is either His way or the highway. 

And this AWESOME (the word “awesome” should really not be used to describe anything else but Him) Lion loves you with a burning, undying, all-consuming passion that cannot be quenched — and cannot be controlled.  The only possible, sane option (as far as eternity and reality are concerned), is to give in to this Fire and let it have its way with you.  It may hurt at times.  It may burn up some things that you have held precious.  But it will inject true, glorious, eternal joy and adventure and purpose and fascination into your life…and it will seem as if you never really were alive before you met Him.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” (Hebrews 12:28-29)
