And as we continue to respond rightly to His enabling Grace in each situation, we acquire what I like to call a “momentum of Grace” that makes the right choices more and more “spiritually intuitive” and less of a struggle. But if we, like Adam and Eve, choose to ignore that Grace, the consequences can be devastating.
“No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)
And as we respond rightly to each situation and challenge, it is an indication that we are truly walking by faith and truly opening our lives to His enabling grace, which is also an indication of our love for Him:
“If you love me, you will obey what I command.” (John 14:15)
I love your qualifier – “enabling Grace.” That’s exactly right! Great post, thank you! There is a book series out about this; I will have to remind myself of the titles and authorship though. I’ve wanted to read it for a while – this feels like a small confirmation. 🙂 Be blessed!
